This work by sculptor Alex Chinneck was installed for one week in Tinsley on Sheffield Road as a taster for his proposals of more permanent work alongside the Sheffield Canal.  Local residents and school children were invited to see the sculpture and to meet the artist.

Opened in 1966 the Grosvenor House Hotel was a familiar landmark on the Sheffield city skyline. Demolition began in 2016 and the hotel, car park and shops that were on the same site finally became dust in 2017.

Lady’s Bridge

Lady’s Bridge is the oldest bridge to cross the River Don in Sheffield.  It is also the name of the album released by Richard Hawley in 2007.

Last week on what may well be his last visit to Rare & Racy Phlegm erased his previous painting on the shop front and replaced it with a skull and crossbones. Yesterday, sadly after 48 years of trading Rare & Racy closed it’s doors for the last time
