    1. Thank you for your comments. You are right, there has been a lot going on and I scheduled my posts to appear on the hour through the day. Most of the posts are a meditation on the legacy of the Thatcher years. A counterpoint to the propaganda that hit the newsrooms from the media circus at the funeral. I use the term “newsrooms” but the coverage today really didn’t constitute news and it was clear that all media coverage of the event had very tight controls and was very carefully orchestrated. Everything from the very tight filming close ups throughout the procession so that protesters couldn’t be seen to the fact that all live coverage was fed from the same cameras on every channel. It is shameful that programmes which are meant to report news just churned out carefully choreographed “entertainment”. Later in the day the local news actually showed the civic square in Leeds in the north of England where a huge TV screen had been installed so that people could gather and watch the funeral. It was virtually empty except for about 5 or 6 curious individuals! Strange day – Strange times! Thank you for taking time to leave your comments, best wishes, N
